Spatial Design - UI UX Case study

Designers may surpass the boundaries of traditional 2D interfaces when Apple launched Vision Pro and explore a realm of three-dimensional innovation.
This novel spatial UI, designed exclusively for Apple devices, adds a new layer to the design process, providing new degrees of immersion and involvement.

Imagine being able to resize, rearrange, and arrange your design pieces with simple hand motions and movements in a virtual environment. With Spatial UI, you can browse your design canvas in three dimensions, learning more about the spatial relationships between various parts, and giving your works a fresh feeling of depth and reality.

OVERVIEW

My idea was to design an immersive UI design grading experience for our existing web platform. At the moment it’s planned as a simple set of five buttons —and quite possibly it is a better idea than to move it to 3D.

In this case study, I have taken inspiration from existing user interfaces for mobile and web and implemented to Apple Vision pro for 3D view.

Design Process

Before jumping directly to UI design, I tried out sketching out the screens.

Final UI Design

I thought of not overwhelming the users by providing too much information soI kept it clean and simple

I have made the room dim so that users can focus on the screen, the lighting can be controlled depending on the lighting in the backgroud.

Details Matter for the UI

As the living room has windows on the right so to make it natural and real I made sure that my icons and screens have that subtle shadows from the corners as it will tell the user where the light is coming from. So, these little details matter as we interact with these designs.
